What's the difference between a 3 cup French Press and an 8 cup French Press?
All of our coffee and tea makers are measured in European cup sizes: 1 Cup = about 4oz.
3 Cup Press = 12oz.
4 Cup Press = 17oz.
8 Cup Press = 34oz.
12 Cup Press = 51oz.
What's the best way to store coffee?
After the roasting process, coffee beans begin to lose flavor the longer they're exposed to air and moisture. For best results, we recommend storing coffee in a glass storage jar (or airtight container) in a cool, dark place and grinding it just prior to brewing.
What kind of grind should I use?
We always recommend starting with whole beans and grinding them fresh for each use.
French Press Coffee Makers: Coarse Ground
Drip Coffee Makers: Medium-Fine Gound
Espresso Machines: Fine Ground
What's the recommended amount of coffee?
For a bold flavor coffee, we recommend about 1 tablespoon of coarse ground coffee for every 4oz of water.
3 Cup Press = 3 tablespoons
4 Cup Press = 4.5 tablespoons
8 Cup Press = 8.5 tablespoons
12 Cup Press = 13 tablespoons
If you prefer a milder flavor, you can add a little hot water to your brewed coffee.
What's the best kind of water to brew with?
Always use fresh water that is free of any impurities. For best results, we recommend using filtered water.
