What materials are BODUM® products made from?
Part of good design is choosing the appropriate material and manufacturing in the most efficient way to maximize use of these materials. The majority of BODUM® products are made from the following materials:
Characteristics: Resistant to temperature changes; very strong glass composition that will not cloud or stain from use. Dishwasher safe.
Characteristics: Silicone coating used in various product elements. Offers ergonomic feel, non-slip grip and cool touch coating. Dishwasher safe.
SAN Plastic (styrene-acylnitrile-copolymeride)
Characteristics: Excellent transparency, scratch resistant, non-deformable by heat, resistant to temperature change. BPA free. Dishwasher safe.
PP Plastic (polypropylene)
Characteristics: Equal proportions of toughness, rigidity, and hardness. Non-deformable, brilliant surface gloss, low water absorptive capacity and water vapour permeability. BPA free. Dishwasher safe.
POM Plastic (polyoxymethylene)
Characteristics: High rigidity, good elastic qualities, low water absorptive capacity, compact and dense. BPA free. Dishwasher safe.

BODUM® products are manufactured worldwide. BODUM® owns and operates a factory in Portugal and also utilizes facilities in Germany, Poland and China which meet and operate under the same social responsibility guidelines as our own factory.

No, BODUM® can only ship domestically at this time.

If an alternative delivery destination is needed please change within DHL website by use of your tracking number.
In the BODUM® online shop are there alternative payment options to paying with a credit card?
No,orders can only be placed with established credit cards such as VisaCard, MasterCard, American Express and MaetroCard.
I broke the glass carafe to my French press. Is a replacement covered under warranty?
Unfortunately there is no warranty on the breakage to any of our glass items.
Am I able to send my defective product in for repair (under warranty or against payment)?
Unfortunately we do not have a workshop that carries out repairs on defective products. If a product should break during the warranty period, we generally replace it with a new one. No warranty entitlement exists if the defect or damage has occurred due to incorrect use, maintenance or care of the product.
I purchased my BODUM® product from a dealer. In the event of a warranty issue can I contact BODUM® directly?
In the event of a warranty issue please always initially contact the dealer from whom you purchased the product.
How do I locate the right replacement part?
In our online shop you will find that every product has a subcategory for replacement parts, if replacement parts are available for the respective product. If the 'replacement parts' subcategory does not exist then this means that there are no replacement parts for that particular product.
Where can I find additional care information? (dishwasher/freezer safe, etc.)

My BODUM product is defective. I do not have a sales receipt because it was a gift. Am I still able to make a claim against the product guarantee?
Unfortunately not. Product guarantee claims can only be validated together with a valid dated proof of purchase document.
